I am a newly converted air fryer lover and this easy Ninja Foodi baked potato recipe is one of the reasons why I love air fryers so much! The Ninja Foodi air fryer makes your baked potatoes crispy on the outside and soft on the inside without the hassle of wrapping them in tinfoil and baking them forever!

Why I Made Ninja Foodi Baked Potato
I've always been a big fan of baked potatoes. Soft cloud-like inside and crispy outside sounds like heaven to me! But they have always been a pain in the ass to make. Wrapping them in tin foil and baking them for over an hour just made it not worth it most of the time. So I rarely ate them, until I discovered the magic of air fryers, specifically the Ninja Foodi. This air fryer takes all of the hassles out of making delicious baked potatoes and gives you the best and crispiest skin you can ask for!
How To Make Ninja Foodi Baked Potato
Depending on the size of your potato you may need less/more time in the air fryer. 40 minutes is good for a medium-sized russet potato, for a smaller potato you may only need 30-35 minutes and a larger potato may need 50-55 minutes. To check the readiness of the potatoes, stab a knife through the center, it should glide easily through with little resistance.

Kitchen Equipment I used for recipe:
- Ninja Foodie 9-1 Air Fryer Unit – This is the air fryer unit I use and it’s unreal because it comes with an instant pot, steamer, dehydrator, sautee, and more all in one unit! It comes in a couple of different sizes (I got the 8 quarts and it’s huge but I love it).
- World's Best 15 Piece Knife Set - This is completely just my opinion but this knife set is extremely affordable and it is easily one of the best knife sets I've used in my entire life. I used to buy new cutlery from the grocery store everytime I moved (which was a lot) but now I'll never go with another knife set again!

Commonly Asked Questions
Can you make baked potatoes ahead of time?
Yes, you can make these baked potatoes ahead of time, although they are best if they're enjoyed fresh. Twice-baked potatoes are famous after all. But reheating the potatoes isn't always ideal. If you do plan on making them ahead of time, wait to add any additional toppings until they are ready to be enjoyed.
How to store baked potatoes?
You can store baked potatoes in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Be sure to allow the potato to cool before closing the lid of the container to prevent condensation from forming. Additionally, if you plan on adding toppings to your potato, it would be best to not do that if you plan on storing them as it would cause your baked potato to become saugy, and reheating them would be a nightmare.
Can you put aluminum foil in an air fryer?
Yes, you can put aluminum foil in the air fryer as long as you are not covering critical heating elements such as the fan. One thing to note about using aluminum foil in the air fryer is that if you do use it and your air fryer uses a grate, covering the grate will significantly reduce the airflow of the air fryer which is how it cooks the food.
