These vegan greek fries are delicious, packed with Mediterranean flavors, and ready in 25 minutes! These fries make the perfect appetizer or light meal. You won't ever look at fries the same again!

Why I Made Vegan Greek Fries
I'm not even going to lie, I had never even heard of greek fries until a couple of weeks ago. My girlfriend asked me to make them and I had to scramble to figure out how to so I didn't look like a fool. Much to my surprise, they are delicious and quite popular. I have apparently lived a very sheltered life.
Greek fries combine several classic Mediterranean flavors; Oregano, lemon, tomatoes, onions and feta, with the deliciousness of potatoes.
How To Make Vegan Greek Fries
Making vegan greek fries is easy and can have many substitutions with amazing results. The very first time I made them with little potatoes instead of fries with great success. Substituting the tomatoes and red onion for fresh pico de gallo for more flavor is also another possibility!
Ingredients for Vegan Greek Fries
- French Fries
- Vegan Feta
- Lemons
- Oregano
- Tomatoes
- Red onion
- Fresh Parsley (optional)
Kitchen Equipment I used for recipe:
- Ninja Foodie 9-1 Air Fryer Unit – This is the air fryer unit I use and it’s unreal because it comes with an instant pot, steamer, dehydrator, sautee, and more all in one unit! It comes in a couple of different sizes (I got the 8 quarts and it’s huge but I love it).
- World's Best 15 Piece Knife Set - This is completely just my opinion but this knife set is extremely affordable and it is easily one of the best knife sets I've used in my entire life. I used to buy new cutlery from the grocery store everytime I moved (which was a lot) but now I'll never go with another knife set again!
Instructions for Vegan Greek Fries
- Prepare your french fries. If you're cooking from frozen prepare according to the packaging. If you're preparing from scratch, wash your potatoes and cut them into matchsticks relatively the same time. Toss the potatoes in a bowl with olive oil and sea salt and oregano. Put the fries into an air fryer at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
- While the french fries are cooking chop your cherry tomatoes in half and dice your red onions. (easy tip is to use pico de gallo instead, it adds a lot of flavor and lessens your work load).
- When the fries are done dump them into a bowl. Top the fries with the tomatoes and onions, crumble some vegan feta and sprinkle with lemon juice. Top with fresh parsley and serve hot with vegan tzatziki sauce.

Commonly Asked Greek Fry Questions
Can you prepare ahead of time?
Preparing these vegan greek fries ahead of time isn't advised. Fries are notorious for not reheating well add to the fact that they're topped with multiple veggies and this dish is not ideal for preparing ahead of time. One bonus is this recipe doesn't take long to make so you don't need to prepare them ahead of time.
How do you store them?
There is a good chance that you won't have leftovers of these vegan greek fries, but if you do end up with leftovers store in an airtight container in the fridge for a maximum of 48 hours. Try to scrape all the veggies to the side and reheat the fries in an air fryer or oven.
Which vegan feta is best?
There are many vegan fetas on the market today, many more than even a year ago. Taste is also subjective but I have found two vegan feta's, in particular, to be very tasty and great at mimicking the taste of real feta. This is not sponsored but my two favorite vegan fetas are Violife and Plant Ahead. Violife is more accessible and widely available but I liked Plant Ahead a little bit better.

Greek fries are the best way to eat fries! The oregano adds so much flavour. They smelled so delicious when cooking, I kept wanting to add more! I also added some chilli flakes on top to add a little extra kick. Such a good and easy recipe - uses up a lot of things I already had in my fridge, too!
