Kitchen Equipment I used for recipe:
- Vegan Chicken Broth Bouillon - Better Than Bouillon is top of the line broths with deep rich flavours, but the vegan versions can sometimes be hard to track down. In Ontario you can find them at costco in Winnipeg I usually order them here.
- Pack of 3 Bags of Soy Curls - Soy curls are notoriously difficult to find, especially in small town Manitoba. They are however easy to find and free two day shipping on Amazon, which is where I normally get mine from!
- Cast Iron Skillet Set (10 & 12 in) - So I got this set for my birthday from my mom and it seriously is sooo good! I used the larger (12 in) skillet for this recipe and it worked so well! Great quality skillets for an affordable price!

I have a question, I've never tried soy curls, and was wondering if you would consider their texture as chewy, or tender?
John
Great question Cindy! I would definitely consider soy curls to be more tender than chewy.

WE LOVED THIS RECIPE! Vegetarian 12 years here, and my first time cooking with soy curls (I didn’t even know about them until this year!) wow have I been missing out. This recipe was a perfect way to learn how to use soy curls. My omnivore fiancé also loved this dish. “Tastes like chicken.” Everyone was happy with it! I cut the recipe in half to serve 2 people and it was perfect. Thanks for posting.

So are you using the 4 cups of broth just to dip the curls in it for 10 minutes?
John
Yes, you can also do it with just water as well but using broth gives it more flavor.
